I have an HP Pavilion ze4400 with Windows XP and a 100 GB Western Digital portable USB hard drive (which I as a mega-Flash) drive to use. Recently, I have a Linksys Wireless-N USB Network Adapter WUSB300N # used to connect to public WiFi points in connection to download large files (I only have dial-up at home) on my portable hard drive (the laptop almost no space, 32 GB originally), because the high-card Wi-Fi, a little dated, and limited power. While the Linksys adapter works perfect for surfing the net to 100Mb / s, the problem is that when I connect my first USB drive, make sure it is operational and accessible, then plug the USB HD USB WiFi adapter suddenly disappear, as if I was offline, without ever having to touch or connect to the laptop. I know the laptop has two USB ports ever worked, it's my first time seeing such a problem. Advice or suggestions what to try, or alternative?
